How To Use CattlActive® Drench

Whether you’re managing daily stress or preparing cattle for key transitions, the guidelines below can help you use CattlActive® Drench with confidence.

Calves
  • 5 ml at tagging → supports rumen health and immune function during early stress exposure
  • 5 ml at branding → helps buffer acid buildup and promote feed and water intake during processing stress
    → 10 ml for bull calves at branding → additional support for castration stress and recovery
  • 10 ml at preconditioning and weaning → helps maintain rumen integrity and support feed intake during this critical transition

Cows
  • 1 ml per 100 lbs at branding → supports rumen function to help optimize milk production and breed back
  • 1 ml per 100 lbs at pregnancy check → helps maintain rumen health during the stress of late gestation, forage transitions, and heat cycles

Yearlings
  • 10 ml per head immediately upon arrival — straight off the truck → neutralizes buildup of rumen acid from fasting during transport
  • 1 ml per gallon of clean water (if not processing cattle through a chute) in a fresh tank upon arrival to ensure intake
  • 10 ml per head prior to vaccination → reduces release of the stress hormone cortisol, helping increase immune response

Bulls
  • 20 ml before breeding season turnout → helps support energy metabolism and maintain feed intake heading into the breeding season
  • 20 ml at end of breeding season → promotes recovery and helps bulls regain condition post-breeding
  • 30 ml for bulls over 2000 lbs or bulls with excessive weight loss → provides additional support for larger or heavily worked bulls
